9-2-10 Tomorrows marathon is a go, S winds 10-15 seas up to 4 ft. Saturday is up in the air at this time, and there is so much seamen on the radar screen that the weatherman doesn't know what is going to happen. Seriously, these guys have been jerking off over this storm since it was in Africa, If it heads a little to the east, the only sea we will get is in the form of a roll. I say we have a hurricane Earl party on the Bird. Talk to you later if any thing changes. Cap 8-30-10 Pretty decent haddock today, the tide just a little to strong to drift, we picked away at mostly haddock on each stop. Ended up with about 7-8 per angler catch. Cap 8-29-10 Last couple of days produced a bunch of fish, yesterday was just a nice pick of a mix of fish, mostly haddock and cod for most of the day. Today was a little faster with Big pollock and haddock leading the charge, maybe 50 market cod with them. 8-27-10 Couple hundred fish on the marathon today, one or two fish coming most of the day, sometimes more. Bobby Simard was definitely high hook with 18 keepers. 8-26-10 Finally out again ! Weather couldn't have been better. According to who you were, you had a great day or an average one. The bow and sides did much better than the stern today for what ever reason, but as a whole the boat did well with Pollock and Haddock as the main catch, maybe about 30 market cod with them. Cap 8-25-10 Knock on wood we will be back at it tomorrow, winds are supposed to die late tonight and blow SW at 5- 10 tomorrow, with great weather after that. Still have a few spots left on the big money trip Sept 1st. $130 covers your trip and your pool entrance, with $1000 in money to be won. Cap 8-23-10 Doesn't look like we will be getting out for a couple of days, the seas are going to be pretty crappy until wednesday. Cap 8-21-10 Another great day, weather and fish wise. We did have to deal with a pretty strong tide today, or we would have done better, but still a bunch of haddock and cod were caught. 2 dogs for the day. Cap 8-20-10 Weather was perfect and the fishing was excellent. Mostly haddock with big pollock and cod tied for second place. The weekend is almost full, but mondays marathon and the rest of the week have plenty of room. Fishing has been good! Cap 8-18-10 Thursdays all-day and fridays marathon have plenty of room, Saturday is full and Sunday has about ten spots left. Fish are biting with no dogs. 8-16-10 It was a little breezy out there today, but well worth it in my opinion, the fish were being extremely active, and even the anglers that wern't feeling all that good caught a bunch of fish. Big Pollock, Cod and Haddock with a few cusk. A little chop is fine with me. Cap 8-15-10 Lots of action today, the small pollock were like mosquitos at times. Keepers ranged from the teens down to a few, with haddock and cod being the main catch. A few spots open on tomorrows marathon, and plenty of space available for the rest of the week including the marathon on the 20th. Cap 8-13-10It would have been a good all-day trip, but seeing it was a marathon, I have to give today a fair. The tide was just strong enough to be a pain, which ment we had to stay stationary for the entire trip. drifting would have definitely produced more fish as the bottom on the top of the ledge was frosted with sign. Cap 8-12-10 Atough tide and some frisky dogs made for a very busy morning, but evryone got settled in and the tide diminished in the late am, and we had some excellent fishing on a mix of haddock, cod and cusk. Congrats to Bob Mason who won the pool. He has come a long way since first coming on the boat. Keep listening to your captain Bob. Cap ]8-10-10 Not as good of a catch for us today. The am saw a few fish each anchor stop. Things did pick up in the pm, when we were able to drift, but still a slow day for us. I have to give Sean Joy a plug today, I cant remember when the last time he caught more fish than his dad Bill. Today he bested the old man 10 to 9 in the keeper department. Wear your pin well Sean, I doubt you'll have it for long. Cap 8-9-10 Excellent catch on the marathon today, equal numbers of Cod, Pollock, and Haddock. Most with keepers in the teens. Tues. Wed. and Thur. are lite, Fridays marathon and the weekend only have a few spots left. Cap 8-8-10 A tough tide made the fishing a little difficult today, but those who hung with it and worked the lines did well. Haddock and cod were the majority of the catch, with a few big pollock. There is room on the marathon tomorrow, and all through next week. Next weekend is nearing capacity at this time. We have a Big money marathon coming Wednesday Sept. 1st. 20 guys @ $130 Cap 8-6-10 Excellent haddock fishing. Cap 8-5-10 Good mix of fish, lite crowd and great weather. We did have to weed through a lot of small ones today. Tommorrows marathon is lite, the weekend is full. Cap 8-2-10 Great bite again, mostly haddock and cod 8-1-10 Excellent haddock and cod today, we had a steady or fast bite all day long. The weather again couldnt have been better. Also had 50-60 big pollock in the mix. We are lite all through the week including fridays marathon. Cap 7-31-10 Good haddock bite when you could drift, anchoring ment you would catch what was beneath the boat and move on to the next bunch. Weather couldnt have been nicer. Room tomorrow and all through next week. 7-30-10 Pretty good pick of fish for most of the day, some spots better than others. The drift definitely produced the best bite. The catch was a mix of just about everthing, including a few rosies, and about a dozen dogs. Still room for Sunday and Mondays marathon also has some spots. Cap 7-29-10 Good amounts of haddock and pollock, just a handfull of cod, and a few dogs at the end of the day. Tomorrows marathon could use some help along with sundays all day trip. Cap 7-26-10 A few weeks back Todd, the deckhand for the Lady Patricia ,brought his buddy Matt out fishing with us. At the end of the day Matt had out fished Todd 26 to 7. I didnt give it much thought, as Todd is about as good at fishing as I am speling. But today he opened up a can of whoopass on Jimmy Warmsley, besting him by at least 10 fish. One more time Matt before I can say your the real deal. The fishing was good today, with some very large pollock and haddock. The weather looks great for the rest of the week, and there is plenty of room on all trips. Still no dogs! Cap 7-25-10 Strong tides made fishing a little tougher today. The catch still not to bad, with jigs doing the best on the big pollock. The weather continues to be fantastic. 7-23-10 The good news is, the website is back online, and the fishing over the last couple of days has been good with an even mix of all species. Big pollock have a slight edge in numbers. The bad news is somehow I have a virus and my email has been viagra spamming many of you. (oops) The other good news is, the prices arent that bad. Saturday is full, but there is plenty of room on Sunday and the rest of the week. Cap 7-19-10 The weather has been a 10, the fishing has been a 4. Plenty of bait and fish to set up on just not putting the numbers we should be in the boat these past couple of days. Looks like a couple of days off, and then sailing on thursday, fridays marathon has a couple of openings at this time. Cap 7-18-10 we have plenty of room this week, including tomorrows marathon trip. call the office to book (603) 929-1995. 7-16-10 Listen up Ive got something to say. If one person per day doesnt show up for his or her reservations, it costs the boat $9,000.00 for the season. We only take 30 anglers, the boat can hold 49, that would be another 1200 dollars a day, let me say that again, 1200 extra dollars A DAY, but I dont like fishing with a crowded boat anymore than you do. So I guess what I am saying is this, if your not going to take your resevations seriously, than maybe you should call another fishing company, one that doesnt care how many people are packed on the boat. Captain Rick 7-15-10 A very strong tide made it hard to get lines to the fish today. We tried drifting, we tried anchoring, we even motor drifted for awhile, but in the end not enough fish to go around. High hook was Capt. Tom MaGee with 8. Wait a minute maybe fishing wasnt that bad after all. Cap 7-14-10 Wow, I feel like the Maytag repairman these past couple of days. Our last trip out was the marathon on monday, which was great fishing, with again no dogs. We have a trip tomorrow, and Fridays marathon is lite. Saturday is full and Sunday has plenty of room. i know a lot of you guys dont like to go in July because of dogs, but I dont think we have caught 50 in the last two weeks. Cap 7-10-10 Pleny of availability for next weeks trips. Call the office to book! (603) 929-1995 7-9-10 Good fishing today, with a mix of all species including some larger cod fish. Weather was great and again no dogs. We a re full tomorrow, with room on Sunday and the rest of the week. 7-8-10 Pretty good bite of fish these past few days, with a mix of all species, pollock and haddock probably being the most. The weather has been excellent out on the water with temps much cooler than on shore. Another great note, there have been no dogs to speak of, maybe a handfull in the past week. There are a few spots open for this weekend, and next week is wide open including the marthon trips on monday and friday. Cap 7-05-10 Holiday weekend was slow, people and fish-wise. We didnt make it out for the fourth, but were back at it today, and had a very good marathon trip. High hook had 21 keepers, with the average being 8-10. The catch was a mixed bag of fish, with pollock probably being the most caught, and one really nice wolf that had to go back. Sorry Dan. Plenty of room tomorrow ( tues ) and the rest of the week is nearing capacity. The upcoming weekend still has a few spots left. Beat the heat, and catch dinner while doing it. Cap 7-01-10 Good fishing today, a mixed bag of fish with haddock and pollock being the most caught. The bite was pretty hot for the first hour and a half, and again at the end of the day. Only one dogfish on the boat today. We have been for the most part full since we put the boat in the water in april, looking ahead it looks like we have room on all trips these next couple of weeks including marathons and weekends ? Cap 6-30-10 Had a couple of days off guys, went up to the Saco tubing, almost lost the wife when the tubes flipped in the current, but she managed to make it back to shore. I think I'm going to try tubing more often. The fishing has stayed the same over the past few days with a mixed bag of all species, yes there are also some dogs, but very manageable at this time. Cap 6-26-10 Not great today, the best bite being in the am. about 100 fish in the mixed bag species. cap 6-23-10 Excellent haddock 6-22-10 There is a saying on the water, " When the going gets tough, the tough go cusking" and so we went. I didn't have the heart to go red fishing, Johnny was threatning to quit, being up to his elbows in cusk. Cap 6-21-10 We have seen some good haddock fishing over the last couple of days, buy good I'm saying 8-10 per angler with some skilled vets getting much more. Cap 6-19-10 Availabilityfor this week: Thursday June 24th All Day Trip 6 spots left and Monday June 28th's Marathon has plenty of room. Call the office to book! 603-929-1995 6-19-10 Painfully slow in the am., but steadily increased as the day went on, last stop was pretty good haddock fishing. Cap CONGRATULATIONS MEGHAN on your scholastic achievement awards, you worked your but off, and I am very proud of you. Dad 6-18-10 Mixed bag of fish today, along with a much longer ride. Mostly haddock with some cod, cusk, and pollock. There was also a few pesky dogs in the mix. I think it is safe to say that the inshore grounds are behind us for another season. Cap 6-16-10 Got to our hot spot today to find it covered with gill nets, it was nice while it lasted. Headed out to sothern Jeffries for the rest of the day, where we found a little bit of everything, but nothing that amounted to much. We'll have to regroup. PS The picture below is Becky practicing, not Joe Guinto. ( Phill ) Cap 6-15-10 We are still managing a day inside with the big fish? It is not nearly as fast as the last couple of weeks ( which were ridiculous ) but still very productive. Todays limits ranged from 15 - 2 or 3 per angler, with most fish teens or better. The biggest was Joe Guinto's 60 lber. Joe say hello to your dad for us. And it was good to see you again Solid Gold. Cap
6-14-10 We have 10 spots left on this Thursday's All Day Trip 8:00am-4:30pm. We are sold out until the following Thursday June 24th which still has room. Call the office to book (603) 929-1995 6-13-10 We had 30 of the BOW's ( Becoming an Outdoors Woman ) finest females on board with us today. Fishing was a little slow in the a.m., and some of the girls were getting a little frisky, one even suggested that I may be padding the fish reports. ( tough crowd ) Thankfully we landed on a bunch of lunkers, and they sprang into action. You would of thought we were at a Chip and Dales dance off the way they were catching large cod. Nice job girls. Cap 6-11-10 The hand writing is on the wall, I'm sure this is all coming to an end soon, but not today. Plenty of fish for every one, the biggest about 40#'s. To the two guys running the Clipper Fleet-------I used to respect you, when did you turn into such Aholes? Cap 6-9-10 Done early 50's 60's 70's 6-8-10 Still good, with end of the day catches nearing the limit. Biggest in the 50's, but not many less than the teens. Not that I couldlnt use a day off, but Your letting a little rain stand in the way of 50# cod fish. Tomorrow is very light due to weather cancellations. Cap 6-8 Just had a few spots open up for this Thursdays all day trip. Call the office to book (603) 929-1995 6-6-10 Back in the big bed, even the bait guys did well today, with a bunch of large fish. I'm not easily impressed, but I havent seen one guy catch so many cows on one trip. Nice job Jay, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Cap 6-5-10 Not as productive for us today for what ever reason, we saw fish to set up on, and we did catch some quality cod, but it was far from the feverish pace we have had for the last week. Cap 6-4-10 Same story Big and Plenty 6-3-10 Fish as big as a man. Not sure how long this will last, but it is easy on the fuel bill. Home at 2:00 Cap 6-2-10 BIGGER THAN VERY BIG Came in early Cap 6-2-10 Availability for the next 2 weeks: Monday June 7th Marathon (2 spots left), Tuesday June 8th All Day (16 spots left) Tuesday June 15th All Day ( 15 spots left) Monday June 21st (9 spots left) Call the office to book (603) 929-1995 5-31-10 VERY BIG Came in early. Cap 5-30-10 You would'nt beleive me if I told you, you just had to be there. What a shit show. Thanks Capt. Mark ( Lady Tracy Ann) 5-29-10 Serious quality today, with most fish in the teens or better. It could have been a little faster but at days end pretty good. Thats a long day fishing inside. Cap 5-27-10 Back at it today with much better results, a good mix of haddock, pollock, and market to large cod,was produced on a few drifts across Jeffries. The biggest about 30lbs. Great to see you again Arnab, don't forget to tell dad I was asking about him. Cap 5-26-10 Great trip yesterday, not so good today. Flat calm with beatuiful drifting weather for most of the day, but just a few fish each stop. I think they went to the beach. Cap 5-24-10 Excellent couple of days, a few less cod, but a lot more haddock. Six spots still left on the big money trip June 2nd Cap 5-21-10 They were a litle tighter lipped today. Still seeing great amounts of fish to set up on, we just didnt catch as many today as we have been. 4-5 per angler Cap 5-20-10 Very good again today, but also very deep. The catch mostly all cod in the market to large size. Guys if your planning a trip, you need to give us more notice than a day or two, we are pretty much full until June 1st, which reminds me the BIG MONEY trip on June 2nd still has plenty of room. Thats right in the heart of BIG COD season. 5-18-10 The corner is here, excellent couple of days on cod, with a 50/50 mix of haddock and pollock. Cap 5-16-10 Working alot harder these past few days, and not producing as many cod. Its that time of the year when they are on the push to the mud. Fishing still overall pretty decent, with big cod days just around the corner. Cap 5-12-10 Still good and still deep, but if you have a jig, and know how to use it, it has been excellent. There are very few trips left in May that have any room left on them at this time, all-day or marathon. Taking only 30 passengers, trips fill up fast. If you can, try and give a couple of weeks notice for reservations. Don't forget the next BIG MONEY trip on June 2nd. Last one was a blast. Cap 5-10-10 Last couple of trips have been excellent, big bunches of market to large cod with a mix of pollock and haddock. We are still fishing pretty deep, and jigs have been producing the most fish. The only trip that has any room on it this week including the week end is Wednesdays marathon. The early bird gets the worm. Cap 5-5-10 Tuff sledding these last couple of days. We have been fishing very deep waters for the cod and a few big pollock, but the bite seems to fade in the late am. The afternoon has been spent up on top of the ledge picking at the hadddock. Today we had our first big money trip of the year, sombreo's off to Matt St Thomas and Dick Soulious. Matt won the big money and Dick was brides maid. We had a good pick on some nice markets in the am, and like the previous couple of days the bite slowed in the pm and we went haddock fishing. Im not sure how many Matt caught , but every time I looked he was reeling one in. Some anglers could use some tips from Matt if they werent so stubburn. I wont mention any names but it starts with a Gl and ends with an enny. Cap 5-1-10 Just wanted to give everyone an update what is available for this month. Monday May 3rd Marathon has a few spots left, Thursday May 6th All day has a few spots available and the weekend Saturday and Sunday May 8th and 9th have plenty of room. Other than that the only days left with room on the boat is Wednesday May 12th Marathon and Monday Memorial Day Marathon. Call the office to book! (603) 929-1995 Thanks, Becky 4-29-10 ------15-20 with 2-4 foot seas my ass! We got it handed to us today. We havent taken a beating like that in quite a while. Gusts of 50 or better with 12-14 ft seas made for a long bumpy ride home. Sorry we had to put you through that guys. Cap 4-28-10 Hey guys, fishing continues to be good, we have been getting some good action on cod early on in the day, which has been making the trip. The bite seems to slow in the afternoon and we have been picking away at the haddock in the pm. Most of the guys today left a little smarter then when they arrived, because Jimmy Warmsley took them to school. He filled a couple of totes up early on, along with the pool winner, and then napped for the rest of the day. It looks like we are full for the weekend, but have a couple of spots left on next mondays marathon. See you soon. Cap 4-23-10 Still good. It takes some work, but the last couple of days have been good fishing. Today we were just at the right place at the right time, and had a excellent bite of markets in the am, with the boat getting its limet on cod. A pick of about 75-100 haddock rounded out the day. Cap 4-21-10Great morning bite, a bunch of markets, twenty lbs. the biggest, with a few haddock and some stray pollock in the mix. The afternoon was siesta time, with just a handfull of fish on each stop. We have a few spots left on this Sundays all day trip. All other trips are full until next Thursday April 29th 8:00am to 4:30pm. Cap 4-20-10 So some ahole calls yesterday trying to get on a upcoming marathon which was full. He says hows the fishing? I said, still pretty decent, but we have been working a little harder this week than the previous two, but guys that know what they are doing are going home with a dozen keepers or more. He says, well where have you been fishing, according to the website, all the other guys have been killing them. I said, well why dont you call the other guys, and hung up. Cap 4-16-10 The haddock were happy to let the cod take some of the heat today. What a differance, not having to move because you were catching to many of the wrong kind of fish. Overall I'd say the boat as a whole was close to the cod limit with about 100 or so haddock. It was nice to see Steve the banker, and his dad Johnny Two Toes onboard today. 4-14-10 Hey guys you no me and the PC, just got it working again. Anyways, the haddock have been feast or fammine, murder em one day and not so good the next. This friday should take some of the heat off the hadock, as cod fishing opens up. And knock on wood, the only problem with the cod has been we have been catching too many of them. Talk about some disgruntled anglers, try telling the guys we have to move because we're catching too many cod. Looks like the next day with any openings is Tues the 20th, Wed the 21st is a marathon that has a few spots left at this time. Due to all our Marathon trips filling up on Fridays in May, we have added another Marathon trip-Wednesday May 12th. Call the office to book (603) 929-1995. Cap Just wanted to let anyone know who is interested that we have added a Marathon trip on Wednesday April 21, 2010. Alot of our Marathons have been selling out so hope this helps to get people out! Call the office to book @ (603) 929-1995. Thanks, Becky Happy Easter, The opener didnt go as planned, we should have clobbered the haddock, but didnt.Yesterday was a hammer job, with a nice pick of fish up until the last couple of hours at which point it got crazy. Now is the time to come and get haddock. Cap- 9-10 The paint has been flying these past few days, as opening day is right around the corner. The 2nd and 3rd are full at this time, and the traditionally slow Easter is, well, slow. It looks like we will have enough to go, so if your interested give us a call. We may have to ad a few more early marathons, we usually do them on mondays and fridays, but maybe a few on wednesdays if there is any interest. Get ready, its time to start eating fresh haddock again. Cap 3-9-10 Hey boys, Mexico was a blast, Johnny was a scream. But back to reality. We got home to a tree on the porch, and the boat had taken a good hit also. The shrink wrap was torn off, the life raft cover is yet to be found, and there are some dings and scars that will have to be adressed. The good news is the season is right around the corner, and from what I have heard, the haddock are stacked up like cord wood on the ledge. Keep your fingers crossed, but it sounds like another early run of haddock ahead for April. 3-2-10 Here is another video of Johnny tring to break a Pinata, I told him it looked similar to his gaffing technique. http://www.youtube.com/v/0038IEZq7uQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999" 3-1-10 Here is a video of Rick and Johnny trying to catch what they call a fish in Mexico!! (February 2010) http://www.youtube.com/v/wog5MO8SJgc&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999" The sewing kit from the room, one of Johnny's wife Angella's earings, and one of Morgan's french fries..... Just show us the ocean and Johnny and I will catch em!
2-19-10 Hey gang, thanks for all the calls, its nice hearing from all of you. We are taking a family trip to Mexico today for a week, and are leaving the office phones in the hands of PT ( Paul Trani ) Dont hesitate to call, Becky has been training him for a couple of weeks. Let me know how he does. I'll have a few tequillas for you guys Cap 2-17-10 Just wanted to let anyone know who is interested that we have added 2 Big Money Trips. Wednesday May 5, 2010 (cinco de mayo) and Wednesday June 2, 2010. We will take only 20 people at $130.00 per person. This leaves $1000.00 for the pool! Book now before they fill up! 1-19-10 The phone has been pretty busy since we posted the marathon dates ( thank you ) , we are trying to get last years charters set up with their dates also, so if any of you that have chartered with us and would like to have the same date, please call. Becky has already spoken with many of you, but their are still many to confirm. Some of you have requested new dates, we will do our best to get a date for you, but remember last years charters have first opps on the dates that they had. Dont be afraid of April, I know its a little chilly, but the fishing in April was fantastic last year. Cap 1-05-09 Hey gang we are semi back in action with the website, I apologize for the lack of comunication, but we got hooked up with a real schmuck and were locked down for some time. I wont elaborate, because I'm still in the postal stage about it, but we are back in good hands. ( thanks for not making us eat crow Bill ) Becky and I have pretty much got the schedule set, and will have it posted within the next couple of days. There will be a marathon on most mondays and fridays through out the season, and a few on wednesdays. Becky will also start contacting last seasons charters to see if they would like their same sailing date. Capt Rick 12/30/09 We would like to wish everyone and their families a safe and Happy New Year! I am working on the 2010 schedule and will post it up soon. Capt. Rick December 24- Getting ready for Santa, boat's sleeping for the next couple of months. 11-01-09 Ended with a bang today, lots of big pollock, and about 30 haddock. Its probably a good thing that the tide was so strong, or Johnny would probably still be filleting. Tangles were many, but we boated a bunch of fish. The weather definitely could have been better this year, but the fishing was excellent. I'd have to give it a high "B" over all this year. Thanks to all that joined us this season, we hope you enjoyed yourselves. (Man did that go by quick) Stay warm and prosper this winter, and we'll see you in the spring. I'll keep in touch. 10-30-09 Crushed um today boys, some guys had 35, some only a dozen. Chet Daigels had four, (coolers full that is). Big pollock, cod, haddock, and a few hake, just a great bite of fish. No trip tomorrow, go figure its going to blow a gale again. Sunday is a go, and will be the last trip of the season, I'm a little sad. 10-28-09 Rough as hell, but excellent fishing. mostly all pollock. Got in a little early. 10-26-09 Lots of pollock and a few more haddock today. Johnny is an animal, a very tired animal. 10-25-09 BIG POLLOCK and lots of them. Marathon tomorrow, tuesday off, and then we have an open boat thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday. Its bedtime for the BIRD after that. Hope to see you one of these last few days. 10-23-09 If you can get there, your going to catch them. Lately getting there is the tricky part. Both yesterday and today saw some excellent fishing, mostly big pollock and haddock, with a sprinkling of market cod. Weather was iffy today until noon, and then it got nice--er, but the fish pretty much bit all day. Tomorrow is cancelled due to bad weather, Sunday at this time is a go, and the monday marathon looks excellent. 10-20-09 We have got to catch a break with this weather sooner or later, it looks like Thursday will be our next trip out. Friday and the weekend are almost full, but we have plenty of room on the 26th and the 30th, both trips are marathons. Next week during the week is light also, and the last weekend of the season the 31st and the 1st are wide open at this time. Its big pollock season and there is not much time left, hope to see these last few days. 10-12-09 A couple of fantastic days, sandwiched around and ok day. Saturday and Monday were bordeline to much fish, no Saturday was definitely to much fish. Sunday wasn't bad, but the weather was'nt that great and the fishing was good for the more experienced angler, not as good for the novice. I would still have to give the week an A+. 10-07 09 Hey gang, the PC has been out of comission for a few days, sorry about the lack of reports. The good news is the fishing continues to be good to excellent, according to your personel expertise. The biggest catch of the last few days was a 80-100lb bluefin caught by Rick Conner. It took about a half hour to get it to the boat. What a beauty. We went out today, and did well on mostly codfish and haddock. Man do they like to bite in rough weather. We probably should have left for home about an hour earlier than we did, because we got our asses handed to us on the way in. No trip tomorrow, with a sold out marathon on Friday, I believe there are a few spots left on the Columbus day marathon at this time. 10-01-09 Still excellent haddock, a few markets and pollock. The weekend forecast has diminished, still may get wet at times, but a small price to pay. 09-29-09 Haddock remain king, we are getting a few big pollock, and cod, but the hadoos are still the majority of the catch. The good news is that the dogs ( knock on wood ) have'nt been a factor for the last couple of trips. Easy beans. 09-25-09 Man we were beating on the haddock right up until the time the weather started beating on us. It was nice when we left the dock at 5am., and not to bad when we arrived on the ledge, but shortly after that all hell broke loose. Forty knots of wind, 10-12 ft seas, oh yeah, a real shit show. Only problem, we were cathing fish as fast as you could get your line down. I dont know how he managed, trying to hold on in the bow, but Bobby Simard caught 16 keepers in the short time we were able to fish. Fearing someone might fall and get hurt, we tucked our tail between our legs and headed home early. Saturday is full, Sunday has a few spots left, and the marathon on Monday still has room at this time. 09-24-09 Feast or feast today, we either beat on the dogs or beat on the haddock according to where we stopped. Again the more experienced anglers caught more haddock and less dogs, but I think everyone had at least 7-8 haddock. 09-22-09 The fishing continues to be good,* with most anglers catching there fair share of haddock along with a few big pollock. The weather has been cooperating and looks good for the next few days. The friday marathon, the 25th is now full, but there is still room on the big money trip the 30th.Capt. Rick* we have seen an increase in big dogs on the ledge for the last two days, which may keep the inexperienced angler from fairing as well as some of the more seasoned vets. Just wanted to let those who are interested that tomorrow's trip Tuesday the 22nd 8:00am to 4:30pm has 7 spots left. Weather looks good and the fishing is great! Friday Sept. 25th Marathon still has room if anyone is interested. Call the office to book (603) 929-1995 Upcoming marathons with room---------- This Friday the 25th is a regular marathon that we added, and next wednesday the 30th is a big money trip. Both days are only half full at this time 09-18-09 Back at it after a couple of weather days. It took us a while to get some action today, but once we found them it was pretty good. Most of the catch was big pollock with some haddock. high hook had 27, but Id say the average was about 10, and that is a lot of fish when your talking big pollock. Hey we need some more anglers for the big money trip give a call. 09-15-09 Had a couple of great days with Dennis Ruperts gang fromPA, the caught a shit load of fish. ( not as many as me, but still very good ) The catch was a mix of large pollock, market cod and haddock. The biggest of the two days was a 50lb. cod that Ed did'nt catch. 09-13-09 wow, great weather and fishing in the same day. It took us a little while to get a good bite going, but it eventually happened, which left some angles saying, "why didnt we come here first" Oh I don't know, I guess I like driving an extra hour and getting in late. 09-12-09 Easy pikkins again today, if you hung in there and stood at the rail, you did very well on a mix of fish. As good as the fishing has been these past few days, the weather has sucked, fishable but uncomfortable for some. It looks like a turn around tomorrow, I hope the fish will bite in nice weather. 09-11-09 Excellent fishing these past few days, Bob Exner's group fromPA really put a hurt on the fish. Bob had a two day total of about 45 fish, which is excellent, but we couldn't begin to count Jimmy Cunfer's catch. All I know was that the guy was unconcious for two days. Nice job guys. 09-10-09 Again a little breezy in the am, with a pretty good sea, but the guys on board didnt mind to much when we started catching fish. It was pretty much lock and reel for most of the day, with cod and haddock filling most of the totes. The weather looks a tad snappy tomorrow also, but as long as their biting like this will give it a go. The weekend looks better with much less wind. 09-09-09 A little snappy in the am, but got nice in the afternoon. Fishing was good with a mix of fish, mostly haddock and pollock. We are adding a marathon on the 25th of this month if any of you are interested, most of the others are nearing capacity. 09-08-09 Man what a day! Pretty much non stop action all day on a variety of fish, mostly cod and medium sized pollock. Now when I say mostly cod and pollock, there was also about 125 haddock, and 50 cusk in with them. They were hitting things that I tell the anglers they will never catch a fish on today. The seas were flat, and we were able to drift the whole day. A ton of fish for 18 anglers. Thanks Hunk 09-05-09 Not so good today, the tide played a major role in our not catching them. Capt. Bob Yeomans ( Erica Lee II ) finally talked me into motor drifting, saying it was working well for him. So for the last half hour or so of the trip we tried it with great success, catching a mix of fish, but what a pain in the ass that is. Thanks anyway Bob you bailed us out. Hey, next BIG MONEY trip is wednesday Sept. 30th. Start calling now
